THOHOYANDOU – Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila got their historic first ever top flight victory as they edged Baroka in a DSTV Premiership encounter at The Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Oscarine Masaluke made his debut on his return to Baroka and conceded a penalty that was initially missed by TTM While Thabo Rakgale was also given a start in the colours of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila
In what was a cagey start at the beginning of the game, with both teams canceling each other out.
Both teams were again guilty of losing possession easily as they tried to get comfortable in midst of the Venda heat.
With the game looking destined to be a share of the spoils, Zambian striker Justin Shonga struck in the 93rd minute to hand the Venda side their first ever win in top flight football.
The win moves TTM to mid table while it meant that Baroka have suffered their first loss of season and it was a bad start for newly appointed coach Matsemela Thoka.
